Trevor specialises in Human Factors and has experience of training back to 1990 when he was part of the team that introduced the subject into British Airways as a method of reducing 'pilot error'. He retired as a Training Captain flying Boeing 747's in 2005 and had focused on training trainers and crew in simulation, class and aircraft. Trevor began working in Human Factors in healthcare in 2002 with paediatric cardiac surgery and now continues to do so across the entire spectrum from surgery, ITU, anaesthesia to mental health. Developing clinical simulation for Human Factors training is a particular focus.

His passion is to help professionals develop and maintain their full range of skills, both technical and non-technical.
Trevor worked in several research projects in healthcare, notably under Professor Marc DeLeval at Great Ormond Street and Mr Peter McCulloch at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. Latterly he has worked on the Safer Theatre Teams project at three major Hospital sites in the South East of England. In the course of these projects he and former colleague Guy Hirst spent many hours observing and training in operating theatres in Hospitals across the UK.
In 2005 Trevor was Co-author of SLIPS (Safety and Leadership for Interventional Procedures and Surgery) course at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS) in close cooperation with Mr Tony Giddings FRCS. He is qualified in the use of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
Trevor is a long-serving member of Lions Clubs International, he is also an honorary Member of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Trevor is highly active in development of research and training initiatives in healthcare, aviation and other safety-related industries.
