Mental Health

Atrainability have developed specialised training courses with Mersey Care NHS Trust and the North East SHA for the mental health Trusts in that area.

The training is focused on supporting sustainable error prevention for team members across the Trust. Major areas of development are aggression towards inmates and staff, self-harm, falls and drug administration errors.

Atrainability are working closely with Trust leaders to train 'Leads' to support their colleagues by building in resilient processes and behaviours that seek to feed this learning back into effective safe practice.

AQuA Mental Health - course April 2014
Course attendee comments

I thoroughly enjoyed the 2-day course – I think it should be written into student nurse training as a compulsory element. It has made me think about my own skills & the changes I will be making to promote better team harmony (Jean Brennan)

A lot of the concepts & theories were familiar to me, but it was helpful to pull these together in trying to improve leadership skills in an ever-changing working environment & increase safety & effectiveness (Clair Jones)

Thoroughly enjoyable – trainers very skilled at keeping my attention throughout both days. Lots of moments to refresh things previously known, but which get ‘lost’ in the pressures of workplace demands (Annie Jones)
